When I was a teenager, I went with the parks superintendent Mr. Walter Waterworth to Arnfield Reservoir at Tintwistle which was then a trout farm. They had trapped lots of perch to protect the trout fry so Walter and I filled a dust bin with them. We then returned to the park and released them in the boating lake.

This was appreciated by the Children of Glossop who for years where able to fish in this safe area, then lovey dovey councilors tried to stop them (1992)
