Long gone pubs

Most of the pub descriptions on this website are taken from the excellent out of print book "History in a Pint Pot" by the late David Field of Sheffield Road, Glossop.

I am proud to say he was a childhood friend and classmate of mine and his widow kindly gave me permission to use his work.

I really hope that sometime in the future Glossop Heritage trust will re publish this very informative book with an update section in it.
