Old Glossop Wells

Unfortunately most of the visible wells in Old Glossop have either been filled in or built over.

The only one left apart from this All Saints well is in Manor Park and was one of the wells used by Glossop Manor

There are however at least two wells in private houses in the village, I hope to obtain photos of them in the near future.

 

This well was cleaned and maintained by the late Mr. Owen Sykes who lived near by in the bungalow.

His dedication is sorely missed
